The Youth Programs
We support and have touch with 200+ Black Youth business in Alberta by providing access to resources and supports available for ACANEA (Afro-Canadian Entrepreneurs Association), ensure every ACANEA has easy, quick, and clear access to what need to keep their businesses sustainable. The program offers a variety of services and opportunities to its Youth Entrepreneurs, which include:
Training and Education: Black Youth Entrepreneurship Program (BYEP) provides workshops, seminars, and training sessions that cover various aspects of entrepreneurship, such as business planning, marketing, financial management, and networking. These educational programs aim to equip young Entrepreneurs with skills needed to start and manage their own businesses successfully.
Networking and connection: The program facilitates business networking opportunities by organizing events, meetups, and conferences where young entrepreneurs can connect with like-minded individuals, industry professionals, potential investors, and business partners. Building a strong networking can open doors to collaboration, partnerships, and further growth opportunities.
Mentorship and Guidance: The program often pairs participants with experienced mentors who can provide guidance,advice, and support throughout the entrepreneurial journey. Mentors may share their industry expertise, help refine business ideas, and offer valuable insights into overcoming challenges and achieving success.
Access to Capital: BYEP provides access to small grants or loans specifically for Black youth who want to start their own businesses. We partner with financial institutions ( TD Bank, BDC, and RBC ), government agencies and community foundations to secure funding for these initiative. This support can be crucial in providing the necessary capital for start-up costs, purchasing equipment or inventory , and covering initial operational expenses.
Employment support: By providing employability during summer and life skills training as well as quality employment opportunities, we are equipping our youth with tools to eliminate barriers that prevent them from succeeding.

To effectively educate Black Youth, we address their specific needs and challenges while providing them the knowledge and skills necessary for successs.
We Provide.
We provide resources and support: offer resources such as entrepreneurship guides, skill development materials to both mentors and mentees.
