Programs
Black Youth Program Overview
The programs are designed to provide Black youth and young Entrepreneurs access to the entire suite of Empowering Black young people lab training, along with exclusive content, workshops, business coaching, and a curated stream of resources and tools built specifically of Black youth in Alberta and across Canada.

Startup
We provide Black Youth who needs to start a business with the resources, tools, training, connection, and access to capital. These programs aim to foster the growth success, and empowerment of Black youth by proving them with opportunities, resources, mentorship. and business networking.

Mentorship & Coaching
ACANEA facilitates mentorship and coaching programs where experienced entrepreneurs provide guidance and support to Black youth. Mentors offer insights, advice, and networking opportunities, helping mentees navigate challenges.

Networking
We create business networking platforms and opportunities for Black youth to connect, collaborate, and form partnerships. We organize networking events, business mixers, and industry conferences where entrepreneurs can share experiences.
The BEA program
The Black Entrepreneurs Assessment ( BEA ) is the first segment of Black youth connect’s developing business incubator. This assessment program can help individuals to not understand their strengths and capabilities, but can also provide useful guidance for creating a business plan and finding additional resources.

Business Plan
We provide a business plan for our members and teach them how to do a business plan. A business plan is a comprehensive document that outlines the goals, strategies, operations, and financial forecasts pf a business. It serves as a roadmap for the company, guiding its activities and providing a framework for decision-making.

Resources
ACANEA provides access to funding and resources to support Black youth entrepreneurs. We provide information on grants, loans, and other financial assistance programs, helping entrepreneurs secure the capital they need to launch or expand their ventures.

Entrepreneurial Education
Startup resources for Black youth entrepreneurs programs often offer educational programs and training workshops to equip young entrepreneurs with essential business skills. These programs may cover topics such as business planning, marketing, financial management, pitching, and product development.
Banda Program
"Banda" is a lingala word (one of Congolese languages) means start. Banda program is the first step to get help you there and aims to provide comprehensive support and resources to Black Youth, empowering them to succeed in their business endeavors. The program focuses on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including education, mentorship, networking, and access to funding opportunities. We're on a mission to enable youths to realize their business dreams. This program allows youths to work closely with experienced business mentor to navigate a business plan and strategy.

Employment Support
By providing employability during summer and life skills training as well as quality employment opportunities, we are equipping our youth with tools to eliminate barriers that prevent them from succeeding .

Business Networking
We organize networking events or workshops specifically tailored for Black youth Entrepreneurs. These events can bring together young Entrepreneurs, industry experts, mentors, and investors, providing a platform for networking, and collaboration.

Newcomer Program
We create programs that provide access to small grants or loans specifically for Black youth newcomers who want to start their own businesses. We partner with financial institutions (TD Bank, BDC, and RBC), government agencies and community foundations to secure funding for these initiative.
